Worcester,

Dear Sir,

I am obliged for your letter of the 31st ult., and beg to inform you that I have now filed my report to the Court on the application of the Eastbourne Corporation for a Moratorium Order in respect of rates. You will receive notification of the date of the hearing from the Court in due course but I anticipate that this will be be on 24th September next.

As regards the claim against you by the Eastbourne Water Works Company, I am informed by them that they are prepared to accept the £5. 7. 9d due on 25th March last, by installments of £1 a month. ~~If you are not prepared to agree to this, or take no action, I have no doubt that the Water Works Company will themselves apply for a Moratorium Order. They will, I understand not however, accept payment by small quarterly installments, but I suggest you write to them explaining your present position and stating what offer you are prepared to make.
